Kristen Bell & VERONICA MARS Cast to Star in New Web Series 'Play It Again, Dick'

Buzzfeed reports that Kristen Bell Jason Dohring and the cast of the hit TV series and recent feature length film VERONICA MARS will star in a new Web series titled 'Play It Again, Dick', which will center on 'Mars' character Dick Casablancas.

According to the report, the series will consist of eight episodes and will be available on The CW's home for digital content, CW Seed. The show is described as "a series about a series" and will feature real-life actor Ryan Hansen, who portrays Casablancas, in a fictionalized version of himself as well a Casablancas.

"Veronica Mars" and "Play It Again Dick" creator Rob Thomas told HitFix: "The Web series will have more in common with 'Party Down' tonally, but it will be about Ryan Hansen, or at least a version of Ryan Hansen, deciding to capitalize on the current 'Veronica Mars' heat to get his own series on the air. He'll try to pull his actor pals into the venture with varying degrees of success."

The cast will portray their iconic characters from the show as well as fictionalized versions of themselves.
