Bass Entertainment has announced that HeadShop is currently being shot in Los Angeles and, at a later date, will shoot additional scenes in San Francisco and Oakland, where the story-line is based. The production is helmed by Emmy Award-nominated and NAACP Image Award-winning Writer-DirectorKim Bass.

The feature-length comedy is adorned by such a notable cast including Kris Marshall (Death at a Funeral, Love Actually), Nicole Ari Parker (Boogie Nights, Soul Food), Loretta Devine (The Carmichael Show, Crash), Reno Wilson (Mike & Molly, Crank), Kimberly Elise (John Q, Hit the Floor), Deon Cole (Black-ish, Angie Tribeca), Michael Jai White (Spawn, Black Dynamite) and Marla Gibbs (Madea's Witness Protection, The Jeffersons). Writer-Director Kim Bass said, "We look forward to bringing this fun, yet meaningful story to fruition. The cast is amazing and I enjoy working with these phenomenal, professional performers. As always when possible, I am also proud to continue to bring good jobs to California-based film industry workers."

HeadShop is a magical urban tale about a beautiful psychologist, based in San Francisco, who decides to end a stalled romance with her longtime, high-profile, psychiatrist boyfriend/business partner. She moves on with her life by opening her own PRIVATE PRACTICE in a vacant, street-front office space in the middle of a small commercial block located across the bay in Oakland. The move turns the predominately African-American and psychologically ignored neighborhood on its emotional ear.
