On E!, Kim Richards is opening up about the tragic passing of her ex-husband, Monty Brinson.

THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS star got emotional while talking with E! NEWS about his death, explaining how he was her greatest friend of all time.

"He's definitely was the best friend I've ever had in my life," she told us. "I don't think I've had anybody closer in my life. I don't think I've ever had a better friend...I mean, I have beautiful best friends that I've had for a long, long time. But, you know, Monty and I were married when I was 19."

She continued, "He truly was just super special. He still is. He's an angel. We share a beautiful daughter. But he was also 'Uncle Monty' to my other children...You know, he lived with us for many, many, many, many years."

Despite him relying on her, however, she says the relationship went both ways.

"The bond we have is never ending," she explained. "People used to say, 'I don't know what Monty would have done without you.' I don't know what I would have done without Monty. It was definitely a two-way street."

Brinson passed away in January at 58-years-old after losing his battle against cancer.

Kim broke her silence the day after Brinson's death, sharing a touching Instagram post. She wrote, "Yesterday I said goodbye to the best friend I've ever had in my life...Monty was an amazing person with an amazing soul."

She continued, "We shared over 30 years of love & happiness and brought a beautiful daughter into the world. I am so grateful for all that we shared. I know we will be together again one day. I love you Monty."

Since then, Richards and her family have been sticking together to help one another cope with the loss.
