Kim Kardashian Cancels Scheduled Australian Appearance

Fox News is reporting that Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is pulling out of her upcoming scheduled Australian appearance just days after announcing she will be divorcing her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries. Kardashian was reportedly to have received $150,000 for the one-hour appearance at an Australian horse racing event. The actress is said to be returning to her home in Los Angeles.

This latest announcement comes just one day after Kardashian had plugged her new line of handbags in Sydney.  A spokesman for the Swisse vitamin company who was sponsoring the event expressed disappointment in Kardashian's decision. "All indications were that Kim wanted to fulfill all of her commitments once she landed in Australia but has obviously changed her mind given her very difficult personal challenges at the moment," the spokesman said.

Earlier in the week, Kardashian told Australian morning show "Sunrise", "I really wanted to stick to my commitments to come out here. I love our fan base out here. Of course I do really want some time to myself and it has been tough, but I didn't wanna bail on everyone and, you know, skip out on this commitment."

Humphries has repeatedly said that he is committed to the marriage and does not want a divorce.
