Deadline.com reports that the FOX network has picked up two new drama series for its upcoming schedule, including the drama series THE FOLLOWING, starring Kevin Bacon. According to the report, the network has passed on the pilots Rebounding, El Jefe, Prodigy Bully, Little Brother, Let It Go, Like Father and Living Loaded.
THE FOLLOWING is a Kevin Williamson drama from Warner Bros TV. Bacon reportedly only signed on to appear in 15 episodes of the show. As a result, the series will most likely appear as a midseason replacement. The show is described as "a thriller about ex-FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Bacon) who leads the search to catch diabolical serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) who has created a cult of serial killers." The pilot was directed by Marcos Siega and co-stars Shawn Ashmore, Natalie Zea, Valorie Curry, Jeananne Goossen, Nico Tortorella, Adan Canto and Billy Brown.
Also picked up by FOX is the Josh Berman/Robert Wright drama MOB DOCTOR, starring Jordana Spiro as a young female thoracic surgeon "who juggles two worlds as she juggles her career and her lifelong debt to the South Chicago mob." The series is produced by Sony TV and executive produced by Berman, Wright and Michael Dinner who also directed the pilot.
