According to The Hollywood Reporter, Keri Russell is set to star in the upcoming FX drama pilot THE AMERICANS from Fox Television Studios and FX Productions. The actress will play a KGB spy in the project from executive producers Joe Weisberg and Graham Yost.
THE AMERICANS is set in the 1980s and tells the story of "the arranged marriage of Phillip and Elizabeth (Russell) Jennings, who have two children who know nothing about their parents’ true identity. Their relationship grows more passionate and genuine by the day, but is constantly tested by the escalation of the Cold War and the intimate, dangerous and darkly funny relationships they must maintain with a network of informants and spies under their control."
Russell is best known for her role in the 1990 WB TV series 'Felicity'. Her credits include Fox’s comedy Running Wilde and the 2007 indie film, The Waitress.
