Additional casting has been announced for Clint Eastwood's biopic J. Edgar, with screenplay by Dustin Lance Black.  The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Tony Award winner Ken Howard will play U.S. Attorney General Harlan F. Stone opposite Leonardo DiCaprio's J. Edgar Hoover.  The movie will start filming in February.

The cast also includes Judi Dench as Anne Marie Hoover, Josh Lucas as Charles Lindbergh, Arnie Hammer as Clyde Tolson, and Damon Herriman as Bruno Hauptmann.

Howard's Broadway credits include Promises, Promises, Rumors, 1776, and The Norman Conquests.  He won a Tony for his performance in Child's Play.

In addition to the film version of 1776, he has appeared in such movies as The Net and At First Sight. He also appeared in the TV adaptation of Grey Gardens.  He is scheduled to guest star later this season on the television show 30 Rock.
