On Monday, September 10th, Keith Carradine will take over the Turner Classic Movies channel as Guest Programmer for the evening. Keith sat down with Ben Mankiewicz to discuss the classic films he chose for the lineup, which are listed in the schedule below.
An Oscar-winning composer, performer and actor who has starred in over 60 feature films and more than 30 cable and network television movies, Keith began his career at 20 in the original Broadway production of Hair. His taste in films is as wide ranging as his resume and his programming choices are as eclectic as his career. Who else would choose to screen both Captains Courageous and Performance! (the latter being a cult film starring Mick Jagger co-directed by Nicolas Roeg).
In addition to the TCM stint, Keith is returning as President Conrad Dalton, the kind of President we'd love to have, in the fifth season of Madam Secretary, premiering October 7th.
Keith is also an articulate and vocal participant in Alzheimer's awareness and support. He and his wife care in-home for his father-in-law, who suffers from Alzheimer's.
