According to The Huffington Post, singer Katy Perry is in talks with Paramount Studios to develop a 3D movie documenting her live concert shows. Imagine Entertainment and Paramount are still in the early development stages of the project. Planning will involve figuring out the logistics of filming and staging the movie.

Last year, Paramount released a concert documentary which followed superstar Justin Bieber. 'Never Say Never' went on to gross over $73 million and currently holds the box office record for most successful concert movie.

Recently, Disney has entered the concert documentary market as well, releasing 3D versions of Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour and Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert. Both films earned higher grosses than predicted. Last year's 'Glee: The 3D Concert Movie', from Fox studios was unfortunately not as successful.
