Soaps.com is reporting that One Life to Live has decided not to renew Kathy Brier's contract.

Brier plays Marcie McBain on the long running daytime soap. Since the actress's contract cycle goes through to May 31, Soaps.com is revealing that fans of the actress will most likely see a few more weeks, maybe even a month, of Marcie on screen.

She played Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, opposite Harvey Fierstein, and originated the roles of Ron/Maggie in Off Broadway's Bat Boy: The Musical. Other NY stage creditsinclude The Actor's Fund Benefit Concert of Hair, The Prince and the Pauper at The Lamb's, O'Casey's Knock at The Judith Anderson, Tango Ballad at The Actor's Studio and "A Broadway Diva Christmas" at the Julia Miles Theatre. Regional credits include Funny Girl, I Ought to Be in Pictures, Grease and Cinderella. Her solo debut CD "Heartbreaker" was released on Little Rock Records.
