Variety writes that Kathy Bates and Danny Glover are the latest to join the cast of Joshua Marston's first English-language film.
Also in the cast are Rachel Weisz and Michael Shannon. Weisz will play "a guest introduced at a dinner party hosted by Shannon's character -- who increasingly believes he knows the guest by a different name and a different biography."
No word yet on the roles Bates and Glover will play in the untitled project.
Marston has directed MARIA FULL OF GRACE and THE FORGIVENESS OF BLOOD, as well as episodes of THE NEWSROOM, THE GOOD WIFE and IN TREATMENT.
Bates, who won an Emmy Award last year for AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN, will next be seen on the big screen in THE GREAT GILLY HOPKINS, MICHELLE DARNELL and THE DEATH AND LIFE OF JOHN F. DONOVAN. Among her recent screen credits are the films BOYCHOIR, TAMMY, MIDNIGHT IN PARIS and THE BLIND SIDE, as well as TV's HARRY'S LAW and THE OFFICE. The actress last appeared on Broadway in 'NIGHT, MOTHER.
Glover, who has appeared on Broadway in 'MASTER HAROLD'...AND THE BOYS, has CHECKMATE, BAD ASSES ON THE BAYOU, SCOUT, WAFFLE STREET, MR. PIG, KILLING WINSTON JONES, GRIDLOCKED, DIABLO, CONSUMED, MONSTER TRUCKS and more in the queue.
Shannon, known for TV's BOARDWALK EMPIRE, will next be seen in the films FREEHELD, FRANK & LOLA, MIDNIGHT SPECIAL and ELVIS & NIXON. He also recently starred in MAN OF STEEL. Among his Broadway credits are AMBASSADOR and BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE.
Weisz made her Broadway debut last year in BETRAYAL. Among her upcoming big screen projects are THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS, THE LOBSTER and THE EARLY YEARS. She recently appeared in the films OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL and THE BOURNE LEGACY.
