Kate Mara and Simon Pegg are in talks to star in the thriller "Inheritance," according to Variety.
The independent film will be directed by Vaughn Stein. It explores what happens when the patriarch of a wealthy and powerful family suddenly passes away, leaving his wife and daughter with a shocking secret inheritance that threatens to unravel and destroy their lives.
The script was written by Matthew KENNEDY with Richard B. Lewis is producing through his Southpaw Entertainment banner alongside David Wulf of WulfPak Productions, and Convergent Media's Dan Reardon and Santosh Govindaraju.
Mara is Emmy nominated for playing Zoe Barnes on "House of Cards." She was also in Ridley Scott's "The Martian," "Meagan Leavey" and "Chappaquidick."
Pegg most recently reprised his role of Benji Dunn in Paramount's "Mission: Impossible - Fallout," and also starred in Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One" earlier this year. Pegg can be seen next in horror action comedy "Slaughterhouse Rulez."
