Kate Hudson to Star in Upcoming Thriller EVERLY

According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Kate Hudson is set to star in the upcoming thriller EVERLY. The action adventure will be penned by Yale Hannon and directed by Joe Lynch. Production on the film is scheduled to begin this May. 

The setting of the story takes place in just one room and follows a down and out woman who must defend herself against assassins who have been hired by her ex-husband, a mob boss. 

In announcing the casting news, Adam Ripp and Rob Paris from Crime Scene, the company financing the movie commented, "When we heard that Kate wanted to make the transition into an action star, we knew we had found our Everly. They physicality and intensity of this role will be transformative for her," 

The role will Mark Hudson's first time portraying an action hero.
