After 6 months of hard work, Hollywood's favorite Digital Pop Artist Sham Ibrahim has just completed a series of 16 portraits- all based on celebrity selfies. The series includes infamous and iconic SELFIE photos such as Kim Kardashian's butt selife, Madonna's crotch shot, Justin Bieber topless at the gym, Wiz Khalifa inside a jail cell, Miley Cyrus' hospital picture, Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro's make out photo, and perhaps the most famous SELFIE of all time- Ellen De Generes' Oscar sefie! The artist even included a self-portrait in the series from a 2006 SELFIE he took with Paris Hilton, which he appropriately titled "Self Portrait Selfie".
On Thursday June 4th, Sham Ibrahim will be unveiling his entire collection of celebrity SELFIE portraits exclusively at Sweet! Hollywood, an art gallery and candy store located inside the infamous Hollywood and Highland Shopping Complex at 6801 Hollywood Blvd, in the heart of tinseltown. Many of Sham's celebrity friends are expected to be in attendance.
Sham says, "When a celebrity turns the camera on themselves, they invite their fans to a special kind of intimacy, unique to our era of technology and instant online publication. I especially like when they take photos in their home, their car, their bedroom or bathroom. I really feel that this series is an artistic collaboration BETWEEN me and the stars in the portraits, because the celebrity who takes the photo dictates the composition, orientation and nature of the picture. I tried not to change the authenticity of the selfies, so in all the portraits I've kept the background elements and rendered everything accordingly."
Sham has already gifted several of his celebrity friends like Janice Dickinson, Courtney Stodden, Kristen Cavelleri, Bai Ling, and GG Golnesa (Shaws of Sunset) with portraits from his new series.

About Sham Ibrahim
The press has often described Sham Ibrahim as a modern day Andy Warhol. His iconic portraits focus on the people and events that shape modern American pop culture. He started his career as an actor, playing bit parts such as a patient in the operating room on NBC's top rated hit show E.R. in 2003 and modeling for Steven Meisel in Vogue in 2004. He transitioned from actor to artist after immersing himself in Hollywood, befriending celebrities, photographing them, filming them and, of course, doing artwork of them. In 2009, he made worldwide headlines for a controversial portrait he did of Rihanna's police photo, following her violent incident with Chris Brown. He has given home made pop art portraits to stars like LINDSAY Lohan, Tori Spelling, Paris Hilton, Joan Collins, Ru Paul, Debbie Harry La Toya Jackson, Bobby Brown, Carmen Electra, Boy George, Lynda Carter, Betsey Johnson, Heidi Fleiss, and Tammy Faye. In September of 2014, he headlined a hugely successful solo show at the World of Wonder Storefront gallery where celebrities like Lisa Rinna, Perez Hilton, Janice Dickinson, Lita Ford, Courtney Stodden, Doug Hutchinson, GG Golnesa, Gretchen Rossi, and Slade Smiley were among the attendees who arrived at the private red carpet event. He made his reality television debut this past season on VANDERPUMP RULES where he visited Lisa Vanderpump at her West Hollywood restaurant Pump and gave her and Ken gorgeous pop art portraits of themselves!!! Sham and his art have been featured in major news and tv outlets such as CNN, NBC News, E! Entertainment, Los Angeles Times, Itallian Vogue, IN Touch Weekly, Bravo television, and RADAR online.
