Variety writes that Julianne Moore has signed on to star in the upcoming film adaptation of Lisa Genova's novel STILL ALICE. The movie is set to start filming early next year, directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland (The Last of Robin Hood).

Moore will play Alice Howland, a Harvard professor and cognitive psychologist faced with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.
Moore will next appear on screen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Maps to the Stars, Non-Stop and Seventh Son. Her other recent film credits include Carrie, The English Teacher, Don Jon, The Kids Are All Right, A Single Man and more.
Moore has appeared on Broadway in 2006's The Vertical Hour, as well as off-Broadway's Ice Cream with Hot Fudge and Serious Money.
