Julia Roberts to Produce PARANORMAL HOUSEWIVES for Lifetime

Hollywood legend and Broadway vet Julia Roberts has agreed to produce PARANORMAL HOUSEWIVES, an original series for Lifetime, Deadline reported this afternoon. Roberts will produce alongside Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, her longtime friend and collaborator.

PARANORMAL HOUSEWIVES is written and executive produced by MISS CONGENIALITY's Katie Ford. The project follows a group of female paranormal investigators - aptly calling themselves 'The Paranormal Housewives.' Inspired by a real group of investigators from California, the team formed in 2010, featuring locals Erin Potter, Kirsten Thorne, and Marsha Covert-Garcia. The trio will consult on the series.

Roberts is quickly becoming an in-demand TV producer - as HOUSEWIVES is her second sale of the season. Roberts and Goldsmith-Thomas have also partnered with ABC to bring the workplace comedy TAMING OF THE SHREW to the air.
