The Hollywood Reporter writes that Joseph Gordon-Levitt will star in and produce a movie adaptation of Jim Henson's 1980s TV series FRAGGLE ROCK.
FRAGILE ROCK, a live-action puppet series, centered on a society of creatures called 'Fraggles' and their lives in an underground system of caves, where they learned to co-exist with Doozers, Gorgs and Silly Creatures (humans) from outerspace.
Regency and the Henson Company are also producing; new writers will be hired to pen a draft for the project.
Gordon-Levitt is currently filming SNOWDEN and recently appeared on the big screen in THE INTERVIEW, SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, DON JON (his feature directorial debut), LINCOLN, LOOPER (which he also produced) and more. The actor is also the executive producer of HitRECord TV.
