Winners of the 27th Annual IFP GOTHAM AWARDS were announced last night at an event held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Among the top winners Luca Guadagnino's CALL ME BY YOUR NAME, which picked up the trophy for Best Feature while Jordan Peele's GET OUT received awards for Best Director and Screenplay and the Audience Award.
Other winners of the night included CALLME BY YOUR NAME star Timothée Chalamet and LADY BIRD's Saoirse Ronan. James Franco won for his performance in THE DISASTER ARTIST. During the event, career tributes were awarded to Jason Blum, Sofia Coppola, Al Gore, Dustin Hoffman, Nicole Kidman and Ed Lachman. The cast of Dee Rees' Mudbound took home the Special Jury Award for Ensemble Performance, while Michael Kenneth Williams was honored with the Made in NY Award. The Gotham Audience Award nominees are comprised of the 14 films nominated for Best Feature, Best Documentary, and the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award.
