Broadway favorite Jonathan Groff, who leads HBO's upcoming 'Looking' series, is featured on the cover of this month's OUT Magazine. He shared on filming in San Francisco: "It was the last port of call for all the guys in the Navy, and the ones who were gay just stayed there because they didn't want to go back to their lives. The street where I was staying smelled like jasmine. I rode my bike every day to set. I was in heaven."

LOOKING will follow three friends who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men living in the San Francisco's Bay Area. Groff portrays Patrick a video game designer searching for love via OkCupid.

Groff's TV credits include Starz's BOSS alongside Kelsey Grammer and appearances on THE GOOD WIFE. His film credits include TAKING WOODSTOCK and THE CONSPIRATOR, as well as the upcoming Disney animated feature FROZEN and David Sedaris' C.O.G.

Known from his recurring guest role on the hit TV show Glee, stage and screen star Jonathan Groff first captured critical attention as Melchior in the original Broadway cast of the Tony-winning Duncan Sheik/Steven Sater/Bill T. Jones production of Spring Awakening. The "ardency and thoughtfulness" (New York Times) of his portrayal was balanced with an "easy, irresistible intensity" that led a USA Today critic to wonder "where this guy was when I was in high school."

Groff subsequently earned raves as Danny in The Submission, Claude in Hair and Ken in Red, for which the Los Angeles Times admired the "delicate nuances" of his performance opposite Alfred Molina.
