Jon Hamm Joins Cast of Larry David Improv Film

As first reported on Showbiz411, Jon Hamm is set to join Larry David's upcoming improv film scheduled to begin production this fall.The actor recently showed his comedic chops on the recent live episode of NBC's 30 Rock as well as serving as host of a recent episode of Saturday Night Live.

Larry David will star as a "Larry David like character" in the film which is currently untitled. He will experience the same types of humorous situations as in the HBO series “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”  Hamm will portray David's nemesis. Greg Mottola will direct the project with a script penned by David and his "Seinfeld" writing team.  

The actor is best known for playing advertising executive Don Draper in the AMC drama series Mad Men, which premiered in July 2007. His performance on the show earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2008.
