John Goodman to Co-Star With Roseanne Barr on NBC Pilot DOWNWARDLY MOBILE

As first reported on Deadline.com, John Goodman is set to star alongside Roseanne Barr in the NBC comedy pilot DOWNWARDLY MOBILE, about Rose Davis (Barr), the proprietor of a mobile home park and surrogate mother to all of the unique people who live there in a challenging economy.

Goodman will play Buzz, a jack of all trades who regularly helps out Rose. Barr, John Argent and Eric Gilliland are behind the multi-camera project, which is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. Gail Mancuso is directing.  Barr and Gilliland penned the script and will executive produce along with Argent. 

Goodman is most famous for his role as Dan Conner on the American sitcom, Roseanne, which aired on ABC from 1988 to 1997. In 1985, Goodman originated the role of Pap Finn in the Broadway musical Big River. For his role, he received a Drama Desk nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical; he also is featured on the Original Broadway Cast Recording. Addiditional stage credits include Broadway's Waiting for Godot The Public Theater's The Seagull and The Skin of Or Teeth.

The actor can currently be seen in the film 'The Artist' and will soon star in the Coen brothers upcoming  film 'Inside Llewyn Davis'. His recent TV appearances include a guest starring role on 'Damages'.
