John Dickerson, moderator of CBS News' FACE THE NATION, will sit down with President Barack Obama at the White House on Friday, July 22 for an extended interview that will be broadcast on FACE THE NATION this Sunday, July 24, ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

FACE THE NATION has been on the air and on the CBS Television Network for more than 61 years and is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program.

In this interview and discussion broadcast, with the topics determined by news events of the week, John Dickerson interviews principal newsmaker guests. Also featured is a roundtable discussion and a weekly segment, "John Dickerson's Field Notes." The program broadcasts from Washington, D.C., where Dickerson has been a reporter for almost 20 years covering the White House, Congress and politics.
