John Cena is set to star in "Playing With Fire" for Paramount Players, according to Variety.
The film is a family comedy that centers around a group of rugged wildfire fighters who meet their match when they rescue a trio of rambunctious children.
The film will be produced by Todd Garner and Sean Robins of Broken Road Productions. Paramount Players bought the spec script from Dan Ewen and hired Matt Lieberman to write a new draft.
Paramount Players, headed by Brian Robbins, was launched by Paramount Pictures in June.
Cena could be most recently seen in the Universal comedy "Blockers," and he will soon start filming with Dwayne Johnson in "The Janson Directive." He will be on screen next in "Bumblebee," the sixth installment in Paramount's "Transformers" franchise. He will also voice a character in Universal's fantasy adventure "The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle."
