"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" have scored decisive wins for the late-night ratings week of May 16-20, topping their ABC and CBS time-period competition in all key measures - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers. Note that ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was in rebroadcast on Monday and Tuesday.
For the week, Fallon beat both CBS's "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in adult 18-49 rating by an +84% advantage (with a 0.81 rating vs. a 0.44 each for Colbert and Kimmel).
Meyers pulled within just 0.01 of a rating point of both Colbert and Kimmel in adults 18-49 (with a 0.43 rating vs. a 0.44 for Colbert and Kimmel) and tied both those 11:35 p.m. shows in men 18-49 (0.40 each).
Week to week, Meyers was up +8% in adults 18-49 (0.43 vs. 0.40) and at 1:35 a.m. ET, "Last Call with Carson Daly" grew +4% (0.26 vs. 0.25) to a four-week high (best since the week of April 4-8, 0.26). Season to date, Fallon and Meyers have outdelivered their
ABC and
CBS time-period competition for 35 of 35 weeks in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.
