Jim Parsons, star of "Big Bang Theory," will executive produce a new comedy at ABC, according to Variety.
ABC has given a put pilot commitment to the the multi-camera series, "Bless Her Heart." The show, inspired by Parsons' early life in Texas, is described as a multigenerational family comedy centered on two very different Texas matriarchs who wreak havoc on their children's lives when they all wind up living together.
Writer and executive producer Chuck Tatham heads the series. His previous credits include "Modern Family," "Arrested Development," "How I Met Your Mother," "Suddenly Susan," and "Full House."
Parsons will produce the show via his That's Wonderful Productions banner along with Todd Spiewak. Eric Norsoph, the company's head of development and production, will oversee the project. Warner Bros. Television will produce the series.
Parsons and Spiewak are executive producers on "Young Sheldon," the prequel to "THe Big Bang Theory." That's Wonderful currently have the multi-cam comedy "The Inn Crowd" currently in development at NBC.
