Jessica Chastain, Christopher Plummer Among 2012 Dorian Award Nominees

As reported in The Hollywood Reporter, the Gay & Lesbian Critics Association has announced their 2012 Dorian Award nominations for film and TV. The organization is comprised of 50 critics, ranging from entertainment journalists to pop culture writers.

Among the nominations for best film are 'The Skin I Live In', 'Midnight in Paris' and 'Weekend'. Among the actors nominated for this year's awards are Janet McTeer (1997 Tony Award winner as Best Actress in a Play for her portrayal of Nora in a revival of Henrik Ibsen's "A Doll's House" and 2009 Tony nominee for "Mary Stuart"), Chirstopher Plummer (two-time Tony award-winner for 'Barrymore' and 'Cyrano'), Jessica Chastain (making her Broadway debut in an upcoming revival of Ruth Goetz and Augustus Goetz's play 'The Heiress'), and Claire Danes (Eliza Doolittle in Roundabout Theatre Company's 2007 revival of George Bernard Shaw's 'Pygmalion').

Winners of the Dorian Awards will be announced on January 16th.
