Jessica Biel Set to Produce and Star in 'F***ing Engaged'

The Hollywood Reported has revealed that actress Jessica Biel will both produce and star in F***ing Engaged, an adult-only comedy by newcomer Julia Brownell about a couple who make a pact to have sex every day leading to their wedding in an attempt to fight the platonic "old married couple" syndrome.

Biel will partner with Glen Basner and Aaron Ryder of the sales-rep company FilmNation Entertainment ("The Road"), who will also produce and finance the film.  Additional producers include Dan Halsted ("Garden State") and Cameron Bunce, who developed the script with Brownell and recruited Biel and her Iron Ocean Films producing partner Michelle Purple.

A playwright from the MFA theater program at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Brownell's additional plays "Smart Cookie" and "Fantasy Baseball" for the stage.  Her short screenplays include "Pizza Boy" and "The Assistant." She also a performer in improv and sketch-comedy groups.  F***ing Engaged is the first script sale for the writer.

Jessica Biel appeared over the summer in "Guys and Dolls" at the Hollywood Bowl. Known primarily as a screen star, Biel has appeared in Summer Catch, Easy Virtue, the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Illusionist and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. Upcoming films include "Nailed" and "Valentine's Day." She is also known for her television role as Mary Camden in the long-running family-drama series 7th Heaven.  Her Production Company, Iron Ocean also is developing "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" and "How to Cook Your Daughter."
