According to Deadline.com, Jeremy Strong has joined the cast of TNT's upcoming pilot LA NOIR. The project will be written and directed by Frank Darabont.

LA NOIR follows the story of "a longtime conflict between the LAPD, under the determined leadership of Police Chief William Parker, and ruthless criminal elements led by mobster Mickey Cohen, a one-time boxer who rose to the top of LA’s criminal world." Strong will portray the second in command mobster, Mike Hendry.

Strong's film credits include The Romantics opposite Liv Tyler. He will soon be seen in Steven Speilberg's 'Lincoln' co-starring Daniel Day Lewis.

The actor made his Broadway debut playing Richard Rich in the revival of A Man for All Seasons. Off-Broadway credits include John Patrick Shanley's Defiance, directed by Doug Hughes at MTC; Our House; Richard Nelson's Frank's Home directed by Robert Falls at Playwrights Horizons; and New Jerusalem, for which he was recognized with a Lucille Lortel nomination.
