Jennifer Lawrence to Announce 2012 Academy Award Nominations, 1/24

As reported on EWOnline.com, 'Hunger Games' star Jennifer Lawrence will join Tom Sherak, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, to announce the nominations for the upcoming Academy Awards. 

Lawrence was the recipient of an Oscar nomination in 2011 for her role in the darky indie film 'Winter's Bone'. This year, the 21-year-old will portray the character of 'Katniss' in the film adaptaion of 'The Hunger Games'.

The nominations will be announced on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 5.30am PST at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater. Last year, actress Mo'nique, winner of the best supporting actress award for 'Precious', accompanied Sherak in the reading of the nominations. 

Comedian Billy Crystal will serve as host at this year's Oscar Award ceremony which will take place on February 26, 2012 at the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center.
