Golden Globe®-winning actress Jennifer Garner will receive the "CinemaCon Female Star of the Year Award," it was announced yesterday by the convention's managing director, Mitch Neuhauser. CinemaCon, the official convention of The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), the largest and most important gathering of cinema owners and operators from around the world, will be held April 23 - 26, 2012 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Garner will be presented with this special honor at the "CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards" ceremony to take place on Thursday evening, April 26, in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The Coca-Cola Company, the official presenting sponsor of CinemaCon, will host the final night gala awards program.

"Jennifer Garner has conquered both small and big screens alike with her stunning and captivating performances," noted Neuhauser. "She can epitomize the all-American girl, but can also pack the punch of a tough action hero. Her versatility and remarkable ability to entertain audiences of all ages is impressive, and we could not be more excited to honor her with the 'CinemaCon Female Star of the Year Award.'"

Garner can next be seen in Disney's "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," which will be released on August 15, 2012. The film is an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can't wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim - and their small town of Stanleyville - learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life's greatest gifts. Academy Award®-nominated writer/director Peter Hedges directed the "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" and also wrote the screenplay from a story by Ahmet Zappa.

Garner can also be seen in the upcoming Weinstein Company project "Butter," which she also produced. Written by the up-and-coming writer Jason Micallef, the film is slated for an October 5, 2012 release date.

Over the years, Garner has cultivated a respectable acting career and has been recognized for her numerous achievements. Her portrayal of CIA double-agent Sydney Bristow in the hit show "Alias" earned her a Golden Globe®, Screen Actors Guild Award® and People's Choice Award. She was also nominated four times for an Emmy®, four times for a Golden Globe and twice for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role. Garner's film credits include: "Arthur," "Valentine's Day," "The Invention of Lying," "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past," "Juno," "The Kingdom," "Catch and Release," "13 Going On 30," "Daredevil," "Elektra," "Dude Where's My Car?" and "Pearl Harbor."
