Jen Neal has been named Executive Vice President, Marketing, E!, reporting to E! President Suzanne Kolb. In her new role, Neal oversees and directs all marketing initiatives for the global pop culture brand, including advertising, media strategies, creative, brand alliances, promotion and integrated marketing across all platforms. Neal joined E! as a consultant in February 2012 and previously served as Chief Marketing Officer for BBDO North America. She has played an integral role in harnessing E!’s ongoing momentum to develop and execute the brand evolution strategy that includes the network’s new look, logo, brand campaign and “Pop of Culture” tagline, which will debut on-air and online July 9.
“This is a defining time for E! and Jen has proven to be the perfect leader to oversee our global brand refresh and ensure we unlock E!’s full potential,” said Kolb. “Jen brings a unique range of experience, and her creative vision, brand expertise and innovative approach is unparalleled. As a multifaceted marketing executive, Neal’s extensive experience spans across many platforms, including entertainment marketing, advertising and media. Most recently as Chief Marketing Officer for BBDO North America, she was responsible for driving BBDO North America’s evolution and growth, including the positioning and branding of the agency.
Prior to BBDO, Neal was at Omnicom’s PHD where she was responsible for running the New York office and all client relationships on the East Coast, including entertainment brands Discovery Networks, HBO, BBC and the Travel Channel. Under her leadership, the agency created and executed numerous award-winning campaigns, and received recognition as Mediaweek’s “Media Plan of the Year” (Discovery Channel). Her experience also includes serving as the Worldwide Group Account Director at the Arnell Group and as Senior Director of Marketing Partnerships for the NBA/WNBA at the National Basketball Association.
Neal has been recognized in prestigious industry publications, including Ad Age’s “40 Under 40” and Mediaweek’s “Top 50.” She graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
