Jay Mohr and Erik Griffin to Headline Ventura Comedy Festival

Producer and comedIan Randy Lubas of Artists West Entertainment, in conjunction with non-profit partner Special Olympics Ventura County, is proud to present the third annual Ventura Comedy Festival from September 23rd through 29th, 2013. The festival includes 27 shows at 6 locations including The Players Casino and the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club.

The festival closes with a very special performance from comedian Jay Mohr at the Crowne Plaza Ventura. With the purchase of a VIP ticket, guests have the opportunity to meet, greet, and take photos with Mr. Mohr before his gut wrenchingly hilarious performance.

Comedian Erik Griffin from MTV's hit show "Workaholics" opens the festival on September 23rd at the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club. On September 25th the club will host a special performance from Tommy Davidson who broke ground on the hit sketch comedy show "In Living Color."

Other comedians performing at the Ventura harbor Comedy Club in August leading up to the festival include Gabriel Iglesias, Rob Schneider, and Gabe Kaplan.

Randy Lubas is excited to bring this event back to Ventura County. Mr. Lubas' storied career in entertainment includes appearing in over 5,000 shows in 40 states. He continues to bring comedic joy to thousands through his partnership with Artists West Entertainment, Ventura Harbor Comedy Club and his yearly contribution to the Ventura Comedy Festival.

The last two festivals have seen the comedic talents of Jeff Garcia, Louie Anderson, Adam Carolla, and Lisa Lampanelli.

Before the festival in September, Artists West Entertainment will host Operation Comedy on July 26th at the Ventura Harbor Comedy Club. All veterans, active military, and their guests will be admitted for free to see an all-star lineup. Then on July 27th, Artists West Entertainment will present its annual cruise ship showcase of corporate comedy, displaying 18 of America's hottest comedians and corporate entertainers to major cruise lines for corporate bookers.
