Jason Segel to Star in 'The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time'

Actor Jason Segel will play the human lead in the upcoming Disney film 'The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time', reports THR's Heat Vision blog. Segel will co-write the film with Nicholas Stoller and has also signed on as co-producer along with David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films/TV. James Bobin will direct.

While details of the film are not yet known, it is being reported that Segel plays a man on a quest to find and reunite the Muppets.

Jason Segel was previously seen in the TV series 'Freaks and Geeks' and has recently appeared in the films 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and 'I Love You, Man'. Other film credits include 'Can't Hardly Wait', 'Slackers', 'Knocked Up' and 'LolliLove'. Segel also stars on the CBS sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother'.
