As first reported on Deadline.comJason O'Mara has been cast in a currently untitled CBS drama pilot from Ralph Lamb. The actor joins previously announced cast members Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis and Carrie-Anne Moss. The project will be written by Goodfellas writer Nicholas Pileggi and Greg Walker and directed by James Mangold.

O'Mara is currently starring in 'Terra Nova' a series that was recently cancelled by the Fox network. Producers of that series are in talks with 20th Century Fox TV and Netflix to determine the future of the show.

The new CBS pilot will be set in the 1960s and will tell the story of "Ralph Lamb (Quaid) rodeo cowboy turned longtime Sheriff of Las Vegas – and Johnny Savino (Chiklis), a Chicago mob fixer whose entrepreneurial vision for transforming Las Vegas collides with the law-and-order mandate of Sheriff Lamb." O’Mara is set to portray Ralph Lamb’s younger brother Frank, described as the 'diplomat' of the family.
