Actress and Stunt Woman Janelle Tedesco packs a seriously funny punch, writing/producing/starring in the new action-comedy short film, STUNT MOM. The film showcases an ordinary Mom (Tedesco) teaching her kids the ropes of her day job -- as a professional stunt woman.

Hitting the festival circuit, STUNT MOM started gaining fans when it premiered at the Big Apple Film Festival in January. Up next, the film is set to screen as an 'Official Selection' at:

- Queens World Film Festival (Queens, NY) on March 24
- Garden State Film Festival (Asbury Park, NJ) on March 25
- Point Lookout Film Festival (Long Island, NY) on April 4
- Artemis Women in Action Film Festival (Los Angeles, CA) from April 28 & 29

STUNT MOM kicks-off as a stunt woman (Tedesco) under a looming deadline attempts to train her kids in time to assist with her next big movie job. Told from her children's perspective, Mom demonstrates a variety of action-focused skills the kids are expected to master. As the exercises get more and more difficult, Mom continually asks: Are you ready? We're about to find out as the kids finally answer their Mom's question during a daring stunt on shoot day.

Tedesco wanted to create the film as a way to bring her real-world experiences as an Actress, Stunt Woman and Mom together. Tedesco explains, "When returning to my acting career after having children, I was surprised to discover how many people in the industry were more intrigued with my previous stunt work than my background in Musical Theater. They started calling me 'stunt mom' and I just loved the phrase so much, I had to write a film about it."

This 5-minute film really is a family affair for Tedesco, who cast her real-life husband, Chris Tedesco, and children in the film. In addition, Chris lends his professional talents to the project as the music composer/supervisor.

In addition to crashing through windows, Tedesco has also been entertaining audiences for years with her acting and singing abilities. Theater-goers will recognize her as the Usherette from the First National Tour of the epic hit-musical, The Producers. She also appeared in the National Tour of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas starring the legendary Ann-Margret; and the European Tour of the fan-favorite musical, Guys and Dolls.

Originally from Millis, Massachusetts, this small town girl first honed her skills singing, dancing and acting while earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the esteemed Boston Conservatory. She got her big break in the stunt world as part of the live Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. This led to her first acting and stunt role in a national commercial campaign on the biggest stage of all, the Super Bowl, and she hasn't looked back.

Currently based in New York City, this mother of two continues to put her creative imagination to work as an actor, audiobook narrator and filmmaker.
