Variety reports that newswoman Jane Pauley has joined the team of CBS SUNDAY MORNING as a contributor. The news was revealed by CBS's Face The Nation anchor Bob Schieffer at a recent symposium held at Texas Christian University's Schieffer School of Journalism.
'We're really, we're really really happy to have you," Schieffer said during the panel, per a transcript provided by
CBS News. "And I can't think of a better place for you to tell a story. Because you're a great storyteller - and Sunday Morning is one of my favorite, favorite broadcasts."
The television anchor and journalist has been involved in news reporting since 1975 and is best known for her 13-year tenure on NBC's Today program, alongside Tom Brokaw and Bryant Gumbel. She later served as co-host of
Dateline NBC for 12 years.
In 2004, she returned to television as host of The Jane Pauley Show, a
Syndicated daytime talk show which lasted for one season.
No details as to when Pauley will first appear on the morning program have been revealed.
