Deadline.com reports that Jane Fonda has joined the cast of the upcoming comedy BETTER LIVING THROUGH CHEMISTRY. The actress joins previously announced cast members Sam Rockwell, Olivia Wilde, Michelle Monaghan, Ray Liotta, Ben Schwartz and Ken Howard.
Fonda will portray a customer who comes into the pharmacy owned by Rockwell's character. Her character is described as "the conscience of the film." BETTER LIVING was penned by David Posamentier and Geoff Moore. It will be produced by Joe Neurauter and Felipe Marino.
Shooting on the film is already underway in Maryland. Fonda, currently at the Cannes Film Festival appearing for L'Oreal, will join the shoot when she returns.
Fonda won two Academy Awards for her performances in Klute (1971) and Coming Home (1978). Her filmwork includes Walk on the Wild Side, Period of Adjustment, Sunday in New York, Barefoot in the Park, They Shoot Horses, Don't They?, Julia, Fun with Dick and Jane, The China Syndrome, The Electric Horseman, Nine to Five, Agnes of God, The Morning After, and On Golden Pond, which was the only film she made with her father, Henry Fonda.
