Deadline.com exclusively reports that Jamie-Lynn Sigler has been approached to star in a new Lifetime pilot. The untitled pilot would see Sigler star opposite Sherry Stringfield.

The Josh Berman pilot (who created the hit TV series Drop Dead Diva), tells the story of San Diego police detective Molly Collins (Stringfield) who investigates crimes with her partner Brooke Kross (Sigler) - all while trying to juggle a hectic personal life.

Sigler will join the cast of LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE in September. The play is based on the best-selling book by Ilene Beckerman. The twenty-nine-year-old actress has appeared in a number of other theater productions, including The Wizard of Oz and The Diary of Anne Frank.

She hasn't had a regular-series part since appearing in The Sopranos. However, Sigler recently had a recurring part on the HBO series Entourage.
