MTV today announced that Academy Award-winning actor and Grammy winning artist Jamie Foxx will receive the coveted "Generation Award" at the "2013 MTV Movie Awards," LIVE on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT from the Sony Pictures Studios Lot in Culver City, CA.
One of Hollywood's most respected actors, Foxx has amassed an impressive resume of film work, including his performance as the legendary
Ray Charles in the 2005 biopic "Ray" which earned him the honor of being one of only a few actors to win the quadruple award crown for Best Actor including a Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award, BAFTA Award and the Academy Award. Foxx is nominated for four
MTV Movie Awards for his performance in the critically acclaimed
Quentin Tarantino directed film "Django Unchained," including "Best Male Performance," "Best Fight," "Best Kiss" and "Best WTF Moment." Foxx will appear next in "White House Down" opposite
Channing Tatum and
James Woods and is currently in production to star as the villain Electro in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2."

Oliver Stone cast him as star quarterback Willie Beamen in "Any Given Sunday," with
