According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jaime Pressly has landed a 'major' recurring role on CBS' comedy MOM, starring Anna Faris and Allison Janney.
"We have a great storyline this year: They lose the house," executive producer Chuck Lorre told the publication today. "They stay at a motel for a while. They stay with [new series regular] Mimi Kennedy's Marjorie and the cats for a while. It's a struggle. Christy is trying to keep her family afloat and keep her daughter afloat after the adoption. Her daughter is not doing well emotionally. It's hard. And she's also trying to help Jamie Pressly's character, who is trying to get sober. She's a woman with a lot of money and not much else going on."
Faris and Emmy® Award winner Janney star in this pulls-no-punches comedy from Executive Producer Chuck Lorre (THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN, MIKE & MOLLY). Christy is a single mom and Napa Valley waitress valiantly trying to overcome a lifetime of questionable choices. Now a year clean and sober, she's tested daily by her newly sober mom, Bonnie. Complicating things further is Christy's stubborn teenage daughter, Violet, who just gave up her baby for adoption; her overly-honest son, Roscoe; her slacker ex-husband, Baxter; Violet's clueless boyfriend, Luke; Christy's Married boss and former fling, Gabriel; the restaurant's lascivious chef, Rudy; her sober friend, Marjorie; and her long-estranged father, Alvin. Christy tries to remain positive as she pursues a better life, but with her dysfunctional family and dubious support system, it's always an uphill battle.
Pressly's upcoming projects include Abby in the Summer and TV Land's Jennifer Falls.
On TV she has appeared in Two and a Half Men, Raising Hope, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, My Name is Earl and more. She has recently starred on the big screen in 6 Month Rule, Venus & Vegas, I Love You, Man and more.Videos
