JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE Beats CBS' 'Colbert' for 2nd Consecutive Week

With its late-night lineup of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" at 11:35 p.m. and "Nightline" at 12:35 a.m. during the week of September 5, 2016, ABC grew over the prior week by 9% in Total Viewers (1.825 million vs. 1.674 million) to a 5-week high and by 11% in Adults 18-49 (520,000 vs. 467,000) to an 8-week high - since the weeks of 8/1/16 and 7/11/16, respectively.

ABC was up over the same week last year in late-night (1.755 million and 506,000 on w/o 9/7/15) in Total Viewers (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+3%).

ABC outdelivered CBS by its largest margins in 3 months in late-night with Total Viewers (+26% - 1.825 million vs. 1.446 million) and Adults 18-49 (+41% - 520,000 vs. 369,000) - since the week of 6/13/16.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" (M-F, 11:35 p.m.)
During the week of September 5, 2016, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was up over the prior week by 12% in Adults 18-49 (595,000 vs. 529,000) to deliver its strongest performance in 12 weeks - since the week of 6/13/16. "Kimmel" also grew week to week by 9% in Total Viewers (2.060 million vs. 1.890 million) to a 5-week high - since the week of 8/1/16.

"Kimmel" improved over Labor Day week last year (1.965 million and 557,000 on w/o 9/7/15) in both Total Viewers (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+7%).

ABC's "Kimmel" beat CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" for the 2nd week in a row among Adults 18-49 (595,000 vs. 459,000), increasing its lead to 30% versus 7% the prior week. "Kimmel" also outdrew CBS' "Colbert" by 4% in Total Viewers (2.060 million vs. 1.979 million) to rank as the week's No. 2 late-night talk show in both Viewers and Adults 18-49.

"Nightline" (M-F, 12:35 a.m.)
ABC News' "Nightline" drew 1.344 million Total Viewers, 478,000 Adults 25-54 and 367,000 Adults 18-49, during the week of September 5, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. "Nightline" outdelivered CBS' "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (967,000, 382,000 and 288,000) in Total Viewers (+377,000), Adults 25-54 (+96,000) and Adults 18-49 (+79,000). In addition, "Nightline" led the CBS program by its largest Total Viewer advantage in 12 weeks - since the week of 6/13/16.

"Nightline" was up week to week (1.255 million, 448,000 and 349,000 for w/o 8/29/16) in Total Viewers (+7%), Adults 25-54 (+7%) and Adults 18-49 (+5%) to draw its largest overall audience in 8 weeks and hit 5-week highs in both key adult demos - since weeks of 7/11/16 and 8/1/16, respectively.
