Deadline.com reports that longtime co-hosts Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander will no long appear on The CW's long-runing reality show AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL when it begins its 19th cycle in the fall. Photo shoot director Manuel and coach Alexander have been featured on the series since its premiere. Photographer and judge Barker joined them in Season 2.
The series executive producer and star, Tyra Banks confirmed the news on Twitter yesterday posting, “Fierce & love 2 my Nigel, Jay & Miss J. ANTM turned us in2 a family. Excited for what the future holds for us.”
The series current season, themed 'British Invasion', has earned the lowest ratings in the history of the show's franchise. The season premiere fell 45% in adults 18-49 from the previous cycle.
In a blog post on Thursday night, Barker commented on his departure: “Many of you have come to know me over the past eight years on the show, during which we have shared numerous amazing adventures,” he wrote. “It has been an exciting chapter in my life.”
