Investigation Discovery invites viewers on an emotional journey of family members dealing with the aftermath of a loved one's final wishes in THE WILL: FAMILY SECRETS REVEALED. Hotly contested and sometimes surprising, a person's last will is often a very telling sign of how they perceived their loved ones - a single document outlining the distribution of every penny, asset and heirloom formerly in their possession. Throughout this eight-part series, each hour-long episode of THE WILL presents the most curious and contentious real-life stories of family inheritance, capturing personal drama filled with conspiracies, mysteries, tension and turmoil. When someone dies, they can no longer cover up the secrets that they hid during their lifetime - from the truth of the value of their assets or their surprising debt to revelations of passionate affairs, long forgotten. Presenting a unique series that explores a world where grief and greed collide, THE WILL: FAMILY SECRETS REVEALED premieres Wednesday, November 3 at 9 PM (ET) on Investigation Discovery.

"Investigation Discovery is proud to present THE WILL, a fascinating series that exposes the family dynamics and legal wrangling that arise when a family member passes away," said Henry Schleiff, president and general manager, Investigation Discovery. "The reading of a person's last will and testament is a decisive moment in any family's history, and represents the true final wishes of the deceased - a last way for them to reach out from the grave and send a final message of love or, in some cases, revenge."

Famous estates that are explored in this series include: the estate of Joan Crawford, who disinherited two of her four children from her will; Hank Williams fascinating estate, whose secret daughter was born just weeks after his untimely death; and the controversial estate of Doris Duke, who left 1.2 billion dollars in assets to none other than her butler. The series also highlights famous billionaire Howard Hughes's disputed will and that of Rat Pack member Joey Bishop, whose live-in nurse and alleged girlfriend battled to get her share of the estate that she claimed she was promised. Other cases covered include a family's huge inheritance, squandered away by a shady lawyer; a woman who dies without any apparent legal heirs; and a tycoon whose relatives fight to prevent his daughter from inheriting his $150 million estate.

The series culminates in a special titled THE WILL: OUTRAGEOUS FINAL WISHES premiering January 5 at 9 PM (ET). This special finale explores some of the most unusual and shocking last requests of the deceased, ranging from a woman who loved her car so much she demanded to be buried in it to a grandmother who was so angry with her grandchildren, she left her $12 million fortune to her dog.

THE WILL: FAMILY SECRETS REVEALED is produced for Investigation Discovery by CMJ Productions II Inc. with John Kuyk as executive producer. For Investigation Discovery, Pamela Deutsch is executive producer, Sara Kozak is vice president of production and Henry Schleiff is president and general manager.
