Investigation Discovery (ID) transports viewers back to the bad old days with the return of the network's two-time Emmy Award-winning series, A CRIME TO REMEMBER. Featuring eight gripping, iconic crimes that rocked the era and defined the times, the new season showcases some of the most compelling, provocative crimes that shocked the nation. Premiering Tuesday, December 6 at 10/9c, A CRIME TO REMEMBER explores the tragic stories of truly MAD MEN and women whose thwarted dreams and repressed passions spiraled into terrible crimes spanning the roaring '20s through the 1970s. A special first-look of the new season of A CRIME TO REMEMBER is available starting Friday, December 2 at ID GO and ID on demand.

The new season of A CRIME TO REMEMBER plays out like a dramatic period thriller, stepping into the past to unravel the intricacies of real-life murder cases that sent shockwaves through the nation. To properly illustrate each time period, the series stays true to fashions and styles while highlighting the cultural taboos and social norms that informed each case. Representing the era with authenticity and flair, the series' feature film style cinematography has earned the network News & Documentary Emmy wins in 2013 and 2014 for its artful execution in the craft category in Outstanding Lighting & Scenic Design.

Showcasing the jaw-dropping crimes of our past, each hour-long episode of A CRIME TO REMEMBER is driven by the narrative of a fictional bystander who "knew" the victim. Reporters and police officers who lived through the actual case also explain the impact of the crime, and how justice was found in a world when killers were caught with little more than a finger print duster and a Rolodex.

In the premiere episode, titled Teenage Wasteland, the quaint town of Lincoln, Nebraska is turned upside when the body of a service station attendant is found lying in the open road. Murder is rare in the Heartland, and the crime leaves the community stunned. But the terror doesn't stop there - shortly after, a young family is found dead in their home and their teenage daughter is missing. Police suspect two love-struck, sex-crazed teens are behind the rampage, and everyone from local farmers to the National Guard takes up arms to find them before they strike again.

Kansas City, MO, 1960: When Patricia Jones' body is discovered on the side of lovers' lane, police focus their investigation on her husband. From Missouri to Mexico, Detective Browning is led on a catch-me-if-you-can chase in pursuit of a provocative nemesis.

St. Paul, MN, 1963: A sunny, crisp Minnesota morning is interrupted by the sound of the ringing doorbell. Mrs. Nelson rises from her morning coffee and is stunned to find her neighbor, Carol Thompson, severely wounded lying on the doorstep, gasping for breath and clutching a SILK robe over her body. Who could possibly want to harm this church-going wife and devoted mother of four? Carol sadly succumbs to her wounds, and homicide detectives must peel away the layers of her picture-perfect life to reveal the painful secrets of the 1960s housewife. As their probing pulls them deep into a complex network of illicit passions and underworld crooks, detectives will learn that for some, the letter of the law is wide open to interpretation.

Paradise Lost (wt) - premieres Tuesday, December 27 at 10/9c

Honolulu, HA, 1931: It's a balmy Honolulu evening when Thalia Massie, the young aristocratic wife of a Naval Lieutenant, wanders out of a glittering speakeasy and winds up bruised and beaten by the side of a dark road. Race relations are already tense, so when Thalia accuses five young Hawaiian men of sexually assaulting her, the territory is thrown into an uproar. The five men insist on their innocence as Thalia and her family demand justice. But when a jury fails to reach a verdict, the previously peaceful island erupts into chaos. And when roving bands of sailors decide to take the law into their own hands, a hackneyed scheme and a trigger-happy hand will lead to the most sensational murder trial in Hawaii's history.

The Gentleman Killer - premieres Tuesday, January 3 at 10/9c

Bronx, NY, 1941: When a friendly afternoon tea turns into a murder scene, investigators are stumped about how a reclusive young woman was killed while playing hostess. Police assume an easy explanation for the circumstances: nothing says illicit affair like a mid-afternoon rendezvous. But soon after, other women are calling in to report narrowly escaping attack by a seemingly polite acquaintance, each encounter starting with tea and ending in violence. As reports of attacks pour in from all over the east coast, these callbox-era detectives must step outside their jurisdiction and see past the social stigmas of the time in order to put a stop to the gentleman caller turned killer.

Guess Who? - premieres Tuesday, January 10 at 10/9c

Los Angeles, CA, 1922: A policeman responding to a report of gunshots at the well-appointed home of wealthy manufacturer Fred Oesterreich lets himself inside, only to discover Fred shot dead, his diamond pocket watch missing. A woman's screams lead investigators to an upstairs closet, where they discover Fred's wife Dolly locked inside, panic-stricken. Reports of mysterious activity around the house give Detective Cline a foreboding sense that not everything is as it seems. Just as he is giving up hope of solving the case, Fred's diamond watch mysteriously materializes in the pocket of an unlikely character. When Cline follows the glittering trail, he finds himself lost in a world of seduction and obsession.

Killer Prophet (wt) - premieres Tuesday, January 24 at 10/9c

Santa Cruz, CA, 1970: Police respond to a blazing Santa Cruz house fire and are shocked at their discovery - three adults and two children are found ritualistically bound, shot, and drowned in their own swimming pool. The local community of conservative retirees immediately points their fingers at the wave of scruffy young newcomers who reside in hippie communes, living off the land, tripping on psychedelic drugs, and berating the community for its old fashioned values. Can the hippie community rise above prejudice to guide the detectives to a solution? Or will the mystery of the murderer remain forever locked in the cards of the Tarot?

The Newlydeads - premieres Tuesday, January 31 at 10/9c

Los Angeles, CA, 1968: It's a temperate evening in the Los Angeles Castilian apartment complex, but something is amiss inside the adjacent parking garage. In stall 17, the headlights of a yellow sports car are blazing, the engine is running and beautiful Cheryl Perveler is bleeding out from a gunshot to the head. The viciousness of the shooting leads police to believe the attack was personal, but their victim is new to the city and recently married - who could possibly want her dead? As they pry into Cheryl's personal life, investigators venture down a road of fast cars, crooked cops, hit-and-runs, and arson attempts.
