Dusty Dreams Productions announces it has secured a major Italian distribution deal for its upcoming indie feature "Light Wounds," based on the true story of a young Veteran's battle with schizophrenia. The film is set for production in early fall.
easycinema distribution has acquired all Italian distribution rights for the film and will release the film throughout its over-180-theater network including (but not limited to) Multiplex, Uci Cinemas and easycinema theaters.
Directed by the award-winning Italian director Max Leonida, with Terry Serpico ("Army Wives", "Donnie Brasco") attached as the Campus Veteran's Affairs Officer, negotiations continue for the roles of the mother, father and grandmother.
This is Leonida's eighth feature film and third U.S. feature since moving from Italy in 2009. He most recently directed "Beauty in the Broken", starring Briana Cuoco and Lisa Marie, and in 2009, directed the award-winning feature film, "Backward", a 63rd Cannes Film Festival selection.
"Light Wounds" is written by director Max Leonida, Jonathan
Looper and Vadim Dardagani.
