AMERICAN IDOL judge Jennifer Lopez appeared on this morning's Today show via satellite, to promote her upcoming film Ice Age: Continental Drift. During the appearance, Today's Natalie Morales asked the singer about her plans to return to the FOX reality show.
After a brief hesitation, Lopez said that after serving as a judge for the past two seasons of the show, she wasn't sure if she would return next year. "The truth is ... I've enjoyed it so much, but I am thinking it's maybe time for me to go and do other things I really love to do like films ... and performing," she said. "This has been a great journey, but then again I love the show so... all I can tell you is what I'm thinking."
In May, Lopez had commented on 'Ellen', "I don't know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year."
Recent reports reveal that former Idol contestant Adam Lambert may be in the running to replace Lopez as a judge.
