The American Idol final Top 4 - Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen and Allison Iraheta - performed rock songs on the Tuesday night show, with support from guest mentor, former Guns N' Roses guitarist, Slash.

Tonight on the results show America voted and Lambert made it to the next round and is now a member of the Top 3 finalists. Adam Lambert says he was thrilled to be able to sing a Led Zepplin song last night, "and I liked my outfit."

Allison Iraheta, the remaining lone female finalist was sent home.

The former Guns 'N Roses guitarist, wrote on his Twitter account Saturday that he thought the "Idol" finalists, especially Lambert, could sing their butts off. The 43-year-old rocker also wrote that the remaining four singers - Lambert, Kris Allen, Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta had picked "some really cool songs" for Tuesday's performances on the popular Fox singing competition.

Adam Lambert was first up last night. He sang "A Whole Lot of Love" by Led Zeppelin. It was, in all honesty, a home run, on every level.

Randy thought that Adam should do a record with Slash. Kara remarked that lambert should lay down tracks for an album that's 70's classic rock, 80's glam rock, and Nine Inch Nails. Paula said his "Whole Lotta Love" was a whole lotta perfect. Simon said it was his favorite Lambert performance yet and he had one question "how is anyone gonna top that?" We agreed!

Later in the program, during the duet segment, Adam and Allison teamed up for Foghat's "Slow Ride. it was as Paula stated, "a perfect marriage" vocally.

The eighth season champ is scheduled to be crowned May 20.

Adam Lambert, Matt Giraud, and Kris Allen made up American Idol's bottom three last week, a shock that was one of the most stunning voting "upsets" in the program's long history.

In addition to performing in WICKED, Adam Lambert also had a role in The Ten Commandments and appeared in The Zodiac Show.
