Participant Media announced today that Hulu has acquired the exclusive streaming rights for seasons one and two of its critically acclaimed series PLEASE LIKE ME, which airs on its television network, Pivot. The first two seasons will be available to stream on Hulu October 11, giving subscribers the chance to catch up on the hilariously dark world of Josh Thomas in advance of Pivot's October 16 season three launch of the award-winning comedy.

"I'm excited that 'Please Like Me' is on Hulu because the more places this show is available in the USA the greater the chance Taylor Swift will stumble across it and then call me and then hold me," said Josh Thomas, creator, writer and star.

All past episodes of "Please Like Me" will be available to stream on Hulu with a subscription for $7.99 per month with limited commercials and $11.99 per month with no commercials.

The charming, semi-autobiographical series, inspired by Josh's standup comedy and real-life experiences, has been described by the Associated Press as "'Seinfeld' blended with a guy-centric 'Girls.'" Season one of 'Please Like Me' follows Josh who is dumped by his girlfriend, comes out to his parents, and moves back in to live with his bipolar mother after her suicide attempt. Season two continues with Josh just trying to get through the day without upsetting anyone. He also welcomes a new dog, a new rabbit, a new love interest, and a new baby sister.

The series also stars Thomas Ward (best friend, Tom), Caitlin Stasey (ex-girlfriend, Claire), Hannah Gadsby (friend, Hannah), Keegan Joyce (love interest, Arnold), Debra Lawrance in her AACTA Award-winning role of Mum, David Roberts (Dad), Renee Lim (step-mum, Mae) and, arguably the show's biggest star, Josh's dog, John.

"Please Like Me," a Participant Media Original Series, is a Pigeon Fancier and John & Josh International Production, produced in association with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The series is directed by Matthew Saville (The Slap, Felony), and produced by Todd Abbott. Executive producers include Thomas, Abbott and Kevin Whyte. For season one, Debbie Lee served as the executive producer for ABC. For season two, Rick Kalowski and Brett Sleigh served as executive producers for ABC as well as Jeff Skoll and Holly Hines for Pivot.
