The folks at Hollywood Production Center will be tuning in to The CW as it airs the premiere of iZombie, Tuesday, March 17 at 9PM (check your local listings). In the pilot episode, medical student Olivia "Liv" Moore, played by Rose McIver, finds that being a zombie has its perks, which she uses to assist the police. Among the producers of iZombie, a loose adaptation of the eponymous comic book series, is director Rob Thomas of Veronica Mars and 90210 fame.
The series follows Liv Moore, a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident, whose life-path was completely mapped out, until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie-feeding frenzy. After becoming part zombie, Liv takes a job at a coroner's office, in order to obtain the brains she must reluctantly eat to survive. But, hold on, there's a definite positive to her situation. A side-effect of her new, carnivorous diet is the ability to absorb the memories of the deceased, making her expert at detecting homicides, an ability she now uses to solve murders.
