Hollywood Casting and Film is announcing the creation of the Hollywood Talent Summit. The Summit will include a Talent Showcase, with actors performing scenes for a jury in front of a live audience, as well as successful Hollywood writers, directors, and producers, providing valuable exposure to actor and filmmaker performers. The Summit will be held February 28, 2019 in Hollywood, CA.

The Summit's participants will originate from the HCF Screenplay competition, of which the best screenplay submissions will invited to perform at the talent summit. Call for Entries to the HCF Screenplay competition are now open, where screenwriters can apply on FilmFreeway.com. To give all aspiring writers an opportunity to be considered, there will be no entry fee.

This mission of the Hollywood Talent Summit will be to bridge the gap between actors, writers and filmmakers, by offering an expansive package of performance opportunities, production services, resources and cash prizes.

The Screenplay Competition will include a number of categories, including: Short and Feature length scripts, and 30-minute and 60-minute pilots. All projects will be judged by veteran screenwriters and filmmakers, and competition finalists will be provided with a combination of cash prizes and production resources to help their scripts to screen. A number of award-winning actors, filmmakers, writers and network executives will participate in the screenplay review process, including: Tanna Frederick, Bruce McGill, Jeff Phillips, Leilani Downer, Tana Jamieson and Mairin Hart.

Both the Competition and the Summit will be overseen by industry and festival veteran Jon Fitzgerald, who co-founded Slamdance and launched their first screenwriting competition before directing a number of other major fests, from AFI to Santa Barbara. "Talent is the lifeblood of Hollywood, and there is an incredible amount of emerging talent all over the nation. We want to support these exciting new projects by providing a unique package of resources to help get them into production" says Summit Director Jon Fitzgerald.

"The Screenplay Competition will offer filmmakers a great opportunity to have their work read by influential filmmakers and industry players, while the Summit will provide them an ideal platform to help them advance their careers," added Fitzgerald.

Sunny Vachher, Co-Founder of Hollywood Casting and Film stated "Since founding our studio in 2012, we've realized that talented actors and filmmakers are always looking to work together, but a lack of resources to funding or equipment if often a barrier. The Hollywood Talent Summit is an ideal way to bridge this resources gap, and create more opportunities for actors, filmmakers, and crew."

Actors and Filmmakers can submit to the screenplay competition, or learn more about the annual summit by visiting hollywoodtalentsummit.com.
